Genève Aéroport shares airport data through APIs and message bus services. This guide explains what is available, who it is for and how to get access. Everything here is readable without an account.

Why use our APIs

Our APIs offer access to scheduled flights to and from the airport, operated by over 40 different airlines. We also provide various other data sources so developers and partners can leverage the full range of available information.

Whether you are an airline, a ground handler, a service provider operating at Genève Aéroport, or a developer building an application for passengers, you may find the possibilities of our APIs intriguing.

Two levels of access

The developer ecosystem has two categories of API. Each serves a distinct purpose and comes with a different security and access level.

  • Open APIs share public data, the kind of information already published on gva.ch or shown on terminal screens. Today this is primarily flight schedules, with services such as news and passenger information to follow. Access is self-service: you register and use a subscription key.

  • Partners APIs share detailed operational data with trusted partners involved in running the airport platform. Access follows a partner onboarding procedure, is secured with OAuth 2.0 and IP filtering, and is available both as REST APIs and as a message stream.

Which one is for me?

  • You want public flight information for a website, an app or an experiment: our Open APIs cover this. Public documentation for them is coming soon — contact us in the meantime.

  • You operate at the airport and need detailed operational data: see partner access.

If you are not sure, contact us and we will point you to the right one.
